Liisa Pimiä, piano
Liisa Pimiä passed an examination of piano playing teacher at the Helsinki Conservatory in 1990, and also a degree of M.A. in piano playing at Sibelius Academy in 1995. She has participated in several master courses in piano playing (including teachers Klaus Schilde, Kalle Randalu and Waldemar Malicki). She has also participated in correpetitor courses with teachers Peter Berne, Kevin McCutcheon and teachers from U.S.A. Curtis-Institut in Finland and in Belgium.

Liisa Pimiä has been the correpetitor at the opera class in the Helsinki Conservatory in 1986-1994, and the correpetitor at the opera studio of the finnish worker's institute in Helsinki in 1987-1994.

She was the substitute lector of opera training correpetitor in 1992-1995, and from 1996 the full-time teacher. In 1997-1998 she was the substitute lector and the assistant manager of the department.

She has visited among others the Kleine Oper Düssldorf, the Finnish National Opera, and several provincial operas. She has also been a pianist at the singing contests in Finland and abroad and she has made several recordings.

For the season 1998-1999 Liisa Pimiä has been employed as the correpetitor at the Finnish National Opera.
